My Inner Child is Screaming: The Sesame Street x Reebok Collection is Coming!
You guys, I literally squealed when this news landed in my inbox last week. Not even exaggerating. My husband poked his head into my office to check if I was okay, and there I was, grinning like a five-year-old who just found out we’re having ice cream for dinner. The reason? Sesame Street and Reebok are teaming up for what might be the most nostalgia-packed sneaker collection of 2025.
Remember those mornings spent cross-legged in front of the TV, bowl of Cheerios in hand, watching Big Bird and friends? I sure do. Those characters were practically my first friends, and now they’re making their way onto some seriously cool kicks dropping this March. My wallet is already giving me the side-eye.
What’s in the Collection?
So here’s the scoop on what’s coming our way. The collection features three different sneaker styles, each one cuter than the last. I’ve already picked my favorite (Cookie Monster, duh), but let me break them all down for you.
First up, we’ve got the Club C Revenge that’s basically a Sesame Street party on your feet. It’s covered with colorful graphics of the whole gang—Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby, and Big Bird. I can already picture my niece Zoe (who’s currently in her “I dress myself” phase involving polka dots with stripes) absolutely losing her mind over these.
Then there’s another version of the Club C that’s giving major Cookie Monster vibes. It’s got these adorable cookie-inspired details that made me actually say “nom nom nom” out loud when I saw the press photos. Not my proudest moment, but whatever. These sneakers look good enough to eat—though I definitely don’t recommend trying.
Last but certainly not least, there’s an Elmo-themed Classic Nylon that’s the perfect shade of Elmo red. You know, that vibrant, can’t-miss-it red that immediately makes you think of that lovable monster’s fuzzy little self. I can practically hear that iconic giggle just looking at them.
A Trip Down Memory Lane
The whole collection has me feeling all kinds of nostalgic. I still remember my Sesame Street lunchbox from kindergarten—it had Cookie Monster on it, and I was convinced it made my PB&J taste better. There was also that time when I was about seven, and I insisted on dressing as Big Bird for Halloween. My poor mom spent days attaching yellow feathers to an old sweatsuit. The result was… well, let’s just say I looked more like a molting chicken than Big Bird, but I thought I was the coolest kid on the block.
That’s the magic of Sesame Street, isn’t it? These characters have been friends to so many generations of kids. My mom watched it, I watched it, and now my friends’ kids are watching it. There’s something incredibly special about that kind of staying power.
Not Just for Kids
While the collection is technically designed with kids in mind, I’m definitely eyeing a pair for myself. I mean, who says adults can’t rock some Sesame Street swagger? I’m already planning outfits around the Cookie Monster Club Cs. Probably gonna pair them with some jeans and a simple tee—let the shoes do all the talking.
And it’s not just sneakers! The collection also includes some apparel, which I’m betting will be just as fun and colorful as the shoes. No specific details on that yet, but I’m keeping my eyes peeled.
Mark Your Calendars!
If you’re as excited as I am (though that might be impossible), mark March 26, 2025, on your calendars. That’s when the collection drops, and I have a feeling these are gonna sell out fast. The sneakers will be priced between $50 and $60, which honestly seems pretty reasonable for limited edition character shoes that’ll make both kids and adults smile.
I’m already planning to set my alarm early that day. Last time I tried to snag a limited edition release, I overslept and missed out completely. Still a little bitter about that one, not gonna lie.
This collaboration just feels right, ya know? Sesame Street has always been about learning through play and creativity, and these sneakers capture that playful spirit perfectly. Plus, they’re giving us the chance to literally walk in the shoes (sort of) of our childhood heroes.
So, who else is gonna be refreshing the Reebok website obsessively on March 26th? And more importantly, which character are you going for? I’m Cookie Monster all the way, but I wouldn’t say no to a pair of those Elmo kicks either…
Until next time, keep embracing your inner child—especially when it has excellent taste in footwear!
