Nike has announced they will work again with New York artist Tom Sachs. They took a break from working together in 2023 because of some problems, but now they’re ready to make the NikeCraft Mars Yard 3.0 shoes together.
This new shoe is part of the Mars Yard family. The first one came out in 2012, and the second one (Mars Yard 2.0) came out in 2017. The first shoe had some fans, but the second one became super popular. People really loved its special look, and it was hard to find. Today, brand new pairs of the 2.0 cost thousands of dollars when people sell them online.
Nike stopped working with Sachs after some people said he wasn’t nice to his workers. These stories came out in March 2023. They said Sachs yelled at people and didn’t treat them well. Sachs said he didn’t mean to hurt anyone and promised to make better rules for his workplace. Nike was worried about these stories and needed time to think about working with him again.
Now, Nike says they’re ready to work with Sachs again because he has promised to make his workplace more respectful and welcoming to everyone. Nike said: “Tom has shown he wants to create a workplace where everyone is respected… Our new work together will focus on making great products and telling great stories.” Sachs is excited about working together again and says the Mars Yard 3.0 is almost ready and people are testing it now.
The NikeCraft Mars Yard 3.0 will be like the earlier shoes that people loved so much. Nike has shared a picture of the inside of the shoe’s tongue that shows it’s the Mars Yard 3.0, and fans are already getting excited.

The NikeCraft Mars Yard 3.0 will come out in 2025. You’ll be able to buy it on Nike.com and at some stores. We don’t know the exact price yet, but it will probably cost a lot like the earlier Mars Yard shoes.
