The Nike Kobe 9 EM “Gift of Mamba” shoes are coming out for the holidays in 2024. These special sneakers honor Kobe Bryant, the famous basketball player who passed away. The shoes follow the same style as the “Gift of Mamba” shoes that came out in December 2023.
The Kobe 9 EM shoes are made with something called Engineered Mesh. This makes them light and easy to breathe in while playing basketball. These shoes will be mostly black with a gold Nike swoosh on the sides. The black and gold colors remind us of Kobe’s team, the Los Angeles Lakers.

UPDATE 4/2/25: Nike has announced the “Mambacita” Kobe 9 EM Protro will come out on May 1st, 2025. This is the first time the Protro version of the Kobe 9 will be sold. These shoes celebrate what would have been Gigi’s nineteenth birthday.
