Last month, Nike’s Air Max Craze finally came back after more than 20 years! The original styles are already in stores. Now, we can show you a new “Smokey Blue” pair that’s coming soon.
Nike has been bringing back many shoes from their 1999 Alpha Project in the last few years. These old shoes had cool and unusual designs. The Air Max Sunder is one of the newest ones to return, while the Air Presto has been around for 20 years. This year, they’re bringing back another Alpha shoe – the Air Max Craze with its slingback design. The first old-school colors are already in stores.
The Alpha Project shoes from 1999 had some special features. Many had stretchy neoprene uppers and zipper covers. The Air Max Craze has both! This new version has a cool “Smokey Blue” color on the shoe’s stretchy upper part. It also has a matching blue Nike swoosh on the toes. The heel cage, toes, and zipper are black, with a white sole and blue Air cushions on the bottom.

This new color of the Nike Air Max Craze doesn’t have an official release date yet, but we expect them to go on sale in Summer 2025. These shoes come in “Smokey Blue” with black and white details. You’ll be able to buy them from Nike and some other stores for $170.
